316L is ultra-low carbon, and L means low carbon, so the carbon content of 316L material is lower than that of 316 material. The strength of the two materials is also different. The strength of 316L is lower than that of 316, which is convenient for processing. In addition, the welding section of 316 stainless steel needs post welding annealing, while 316L stainless steel does not.
