UNS NO6625 has a wide range of excellent characteristics of oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. It is suitable for many fields, including jet engine environment, aviation and chemical processing. At low temperatures to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit (1093 degrees Celsius), the alloy also has extraordinary fatigue resistance. The strength of alloy 625 comes from the strengthening effect of molybdenum and niobium solid solution contained in nickel chromium alloy. These elements also make the alloy have excellent corrosion resistance.
